Target Vogue September Issue Party
Target recreated some of Vogue’s most iconic photos using only their products for a center ad spread. We brought those pages to life for a special fashion week party celebration. A whimsical world of flying pages, giant sculptures and even a working carousel with custom peacocks! And it was all done in 4 weeks.

Target's Vogue homage images were blown up and printed on sintra which was molded to appear as pages flying through the room.

Every piece of decor needs to be fireproof to get your TPA permit from the city. Who knew that fireproof umbrellas were a thing?

Buying over 100 of them for a custom step and repeat and even more to rig from the ceiling... sometimes the simplest things make you lose sleep.

Finding a space that could fit a full-sized carousel, then finding the carousel that could break down into small enough sections to carry through the door by hand was another challenge.

Vacuform peacocks needed to be decorated by hand using target linens and bath rugs.

Here the peacocks are complete with feather duster head pieces and custom brass legs and feet.

An art deco image from Vogue's early days was recreated. And yes, the chairs are also from Target.

Perfectly round balloons - finding them, trial staging them and then getting them in just in time so they wouldn't wilt in the heat. Who knew balloons could be so much trouble?

The wall of balloons was cleverly used to conceal an unexpected road construction site for our party guests.
